a new house & a cat who thinks she's a dog

I am moving on july 1st. this is our beautiful new house for (hopefully) the next 2 years. it has: living room, PARLOR (for all the parlor games), dining room, kitchen, bathroom on 1st floor. 2nd floor has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. what??? plus, next to the train tracks, with a backyard & close to school and my potentially cool classmates. also, 5 minutes from atleast 2 punk houses.

also, this is my cat (or was, until the moms cruelly stole her from me when i had no place to keep a little kitty) she thinks she's a dog.

okay, i'm in the airport 2 HOURS EARLY because i came in early due to my extreme paranoia about missing a plane, and then there were no lines and nobody even looked in my bag when it got xrayed and i woke up at 6 to cats fighting and then had that concrete blonde song stuck in my head and i'm tired and there are hippies making out on the floor behind me AND somebody is eating a ham sandwhich and it smells awful. SO, to make us all feel better here are some animal friendships that will tragically be destroyed by scientists within this year:

owen and mzee, the baby hippo & the grown-ass tortoise who love eachother. possibly the hippo's playing with the tortoise could cause shell crackage, plus they decided to "add a female hippo to the mix"

additionally,
the orangutan and tiger twin friends who will have to be seperated soon :( because "When the time comes, they will have to be separated. It's sad, but we cant' change their natural behavior," she said. "Tigers start eating meat when they are three months old." whatever. this is stupid and i'm against it because, as we can see from this video on youtube
the kitten isn't killing the chicken. it just wants to cuddle.

in conclusion, scientists are stupid, the airport smells bad, and i wish that i were asleep.

the issue i have with this kind of thing is that people think it's SOOOOOOO cute to have babies imprint on things that would eat them. and...well...it IS. call me old fashioned, but i think there's something tacky about putting them on display in a zoo in little tiger skins.

alright. i know this one seems like some 12 yearold girl's dream: living in a house half submerged with your own dolphin roommate, you get to play & eat together and it's so much fun.

then the dolphin starts courting you by RUBBING HIS ERECTION IN YOUR HAND. and you're totally into in and then you fall in love with the dolphin and have dolphin sex.


wtf. John Lily, I salute you. even though i saw the fucking tank you kept the other dolphins in and it was waaay too small.

okay, not the same bear & cat pair i was looking for (that was a grizzly in wildlife rehab, and an orange cat who would eat out of the bear's mouth) but this is pretty sweet. also, the ALF site it came from has an article in halting english about the "roarrring stay" where the bear lives.
